Babies: 3 - 6 Months

For those who have been on a plane with LO

Did you/were you able to bring your Boppy as a carry on?  We are only going for the weekend and I have her diaper bag packed but obviously boppy wont fit in it.  Normally I wouldn't think about bringing it but she has been wanting to sit up more and she uses it daily.  Plus she enjoys sleeping in it.

I called the airline and spoke to someone in a foreign country who had no clue as to what I was talking about but said that I could bring the "device" plus the diaper bag as carry on as long as combined they weigh less than 40lbs since DD will be on my lap and I will use it to "hold" DD.

I was just looking for others experiences.

  • I took my boppy for nursing him, hanging out on my lap and so he could nap on me and no one batted an eye! DH said if worst came to worst he would tell them it was a huge neck pillow. Stick out tongue

Lol!  I was thinking about saying the same thing!

  • I WISH I'd brought mine.  With the stroller and carseat and diaper bag, no one even paid attention to what we had.

They do sell a travel my breast friend, I believe.

  • We brought ours and no one said a thing.  We also had more carry-ons than allowed, and no one said anything about that either.

ETA -- I was so glad we brought ours.  We had a 5 hour flight each way, and there is no way we would have survived without it.  We also used it a ton at the hotel too.

  • We took the boppy and so glad we did. No one ever said anything about it.

  • I'm pretty sure you're allowed to bring things for your baby.  I've flown with DD 3 times now, each time carrying a diaper bag, my pump and a carry on suitcase.  No one ever said anything!

  • I know this isn't an answer to your question, but we flew with DD a few weeks ago and the Moby was a lifesaver!!  It was great being 'hands free' on the plane and whatnot.

  • I just traveled with LO and brought my boppy, no questions asked. I couldn't live for a week without it!

  • I'm not the OP, but we are flying tomorrow and I am so happy dh told me we should bring it!

    Thanks ladies!
