This was a great tip (that I didn't know of) so I thought I'd pass it on. She said if you pump you can just put the breastshield and valve in the fridge and use it all day! (But do wash it at the end of the day) So you don't have to wash it between each pumping session. I thought it was a great point because as long as its refridgerated it won't grow any bacteria.
I heard this from someone earlier. Just giving a warning though, you might get some strange looks if you've got company coming over and they peek in your fridge!
My post partum doula (although not a LC) told me that you shouldn't refrigerate your milk in a container that you won't be storing it in because when you transfer it to a plastic bag for freezing for example, then the good fats stick to the side of the cold container and won't be transferred unless you heat the milk up, which you won't really want to do to your refrigerated milk.
