Tuesday Afternoon Poll-

What is your favorite thing/thing you admire most about your DH/SO?

Mine is his sense of humor. It's weird, it's dry, but I totally love it. He always makes me smile and laugh. He said he wants our baby to have his sense of humor so there will be another person in this world who "gets him." I thought that was too cute! :))

What about you?

  • I love that my husband is "a believer" and a true romantic. My husband truly believes in true love and although it took both of us a lot of heartache to find each other we finally did and its wonderful! Sorry so mushy but we just celebrated our 1st anniversary yesterday! Big Smile

That's *too* cute. And it seems that true love is hard to find these days. So many people can't seem to stay in love. Happy Anniversary!

I love how DH is always willing to help me-- it took me a really long time to get used to (and sometimes I relapse) since I've always been so independent.  If I say I'm going to do something, I don't like accepting any help, but DH is always there offering.  We used to fight about it all the time, but now I let him help when he can.  He's always willing to run out and pick up forgotten ingredients, help fold laundry, carry heavy things, and other small things that just make my life run more smoothly.  I've never had anything like that before and it is a quality I hope my children get, along with my independence!

That's awesome. It would be great if your child gets a good mix.

My DH has actually had to teach me how to be more independent/decisive. I appreciate this about him, too.

  • My DH goes out of his way to do nice things for me when he knows I'm stressed, sick, or just overwhelmed with work. Not flowers and candy kind of nice things, but things like do the laundry (even though its my job), make dinner, clean up, go grocery shopping...things that make my life easier when times are rough. Its fabulous to know that he's going to be so on board with housework when I'm waddling around and after the baby is born!

  • I must be having a bad day...I can't think of anything :(
  • My favorite thing that I admire is his tenacity.  He's probably the most driven person I've ever met.

  • The fact that he views and treats me as his equal in all things.

He's never treated me as inferior in any arena - intellectual, physical, etc.  Even in competition (we used to fence competitively), he's never deliberately let me win or pulled shots.  We're well matched in this regard, since he finds this aspect of my personality (my fierce independence and refusal to be treated as anything but his equal) rather sexy.

There was a post wayyyyy back when the board started about what sweet things your DH has done for you since the BFP and someone said their DH had forbid them to mow the lawn.  I remember thinking I'd have gone apeshit on my H if he'd even remotely pulled something like that.

  • He'll pretty much do anything to try to make me laugh! He has a great sense of humor!

I think my favorite thing is how similar we think and how we react the same in certain situations. I also love that he picks on me lol It sounds weird but its just our sense of humor and we pick on each other and when he does it it always makes me laugh like a goon lol

  • His ability to always make me laugh even when I don't want to.  We have basically "grown up" together and in all of the changes & maturing we have made over the years he can always make me bust out laughing no matter what the topic.
  • My favorite thing is his patience & giving nature. This extends from the way he treats me, his family, even strangers. He works with troubled kids & the amount of heart he puts into it - going above & beyond to help these kids is truly admirable. I always say that I could never do his job.

He stops by my work when he's in the area & brings dunkin donuts for my whole office. He holds doors for people, gets things off shelves for old people in the grocery store. He comes home with treats for me "just because". He's amazing.

  • He is so brave.  He's been through a lot in the past few years, and doesn't give up.  I'm very proud of him every day.
  • One thing I love about my husband is that he's very affectionate.

  • I love so much about my husband :) I would say what I love the most is his heart and faith. He is the most gentle, kind (yet manly man) I have ever met. I feel so guilty sometimes because he is so patient, then I realize I've been the tyrant :)

    He's the bestest!!

  • Funny!  I just had this conversation with DH last night!

I love his sense of humor.  Never has anyone brought me so much joy and laughter in my life.

But what I love most of all is his big heart!

Last night as I was preparing for bed, I asked him if my pregnancy was starting to show in my face.  And he was like, "What do you mean?"

I told him I swore my nose was getting wider and he just laughed and told me, "I fall in love with you all over again every day ... so to me, you never look different.  You're always the most beautiful woman in the world."

    I melted!!!

  • Its hard to pick one thing.  I love his can-do attitude. When I freak out or stress about something, he always makes it seem like it will be alright. He balances me out very well.

  • This post has be bawling!  Ah!  I swear that it's not hormones though -- I've cried many times (tears of happiness) because I have been so fortunate to end up with such an amazing DH.

I love that my DH has a heart of gold - corny, maybe, but I mean it.  He brings out the best in me and loves me unconditionally.  He understands me better than anyone has ever understood me.  I used to pray every night for a man half as good as the one I ended up with - I am so blessed.

Proud Momma to two beautiful children!!!

  • I also love my husbands sense of humour. Not a lot of people get him because he also has a dry sense, and can sometimes be very out of line and totally not 'pc' but I think he's hilarious. The other day we were looking at breast pumps and he said "$400! Screw that I'll be your breast pump!" to which I gave him a very odd look, and he said "What? you've never siphoned gas out of a lawn mower before?"
