I am blanking on when my doctor started doing internal exams with DD -- how far along were you when your doctor started doing internal checks for dilation and effacing?
Technically there is no reason to do them before labor unless a problem is suspected, but 37 weeks is a common starting point for OBs. With many MWs you wont get any unless you want them. It's up to you really.
