We are struggling so much finding a boys name - we thought it was hard naming our first son. (He is Austin James)

I think we are down to:

Collin Lee

Carter Aaron

Which do you like better?

I like Carter but Carter Aaron reminds me of Aaron Carter.

I thought of that too - and then thought - eh, who is going to remember him...that answers that question!!! (My middle name is Erin which is why I was thinking Aaron) - but maybe time to reconsider!

I like both Collin and Carter. I think I like Carter more with Austin. Not a fan of Aaron as a middle name, but it's not bad either.

I vote Carter Aaron, even with the "Aaron Carter" connection.

This exactly. But it's not as if you will be using his middle name frequently anyway. Just be prepared for people to say "Oh, like Aaron Carter" for a while.

I like Carter Aaron. I am sure that 20 years from now no one is going to remember the Aaron Carter connection. I think it is cool that you can give him a mn that is similar to your name.

I like Carter Aaron. Carter goes better with Austin, and Collin is ok, but with Lee there's too many "L" sounds. Also prefer it spelled Colin.

And FWIW I have no idea who Aaron Carter is, so I didn't make that association!

I think you should go with Carter Aaron. It sounds much better. And, like you said, no one is going to remember. Our generation knows who he is, but I imagine that most people will forget since he's not really around anymore. I haven't heard from him in years. Plus not many people will know his middle name and it's not like he would get teased about it from his classmates if they did know what it was. None of them will know who Aaron Carter is.
