I'm an English teacher, which might explain some of my pet peeve in this area, but come on... it's not that hard!
it's = contraction of it is; its= possessive pronoun (the bird flapped its wings)
your = possessive form of you; you're = contraction of you are
there = refers to a place; their = indicates possession (their house); they're = contraction of they are
And these are just a few of the words that people constantly mix up and misuse. Okay. Vent over. Flame me if you want! : )

Good post, I hate "your" instead of "you're".
Oh, and can I also say that I hate an overuse of "..." and my LEAST favorite, the random two dots (..). They're not really trailing off, but they have too many dots for a period, it makes no sense!
Sorry, I just really hate that.

When I read my sixth graders' writing it always includes text lingo. Drives me crazy!
Lol..."to" instead of "too" bothers me all the time. One of my biggest issues is when people use "weary" when what they mean is "wary" or "leary."
