so i know its recommeneded to wait 6 weeks before sex again. did anyone go ahead and try it sooner? its been almost 4 weeks since i gave birth...and im antsy1

    plenty of people do.  I am waiting the 6 weeks my OB told me to.

    As much as I wanted to, I waited 6 weeks.  I didn't want to risk an infection or rip my healing tear.

    I didn't have any stitches this time around, so i def. did before my pp visit. i think i did at 2 or 3 weeks! lol....

    Sure plenty of people do, but I'd wait.  When I went in for my post partum visit, I wan't healing correctly, so I was told to wait even longer.  I think my next appointment was an additional 4 weeks after.  I would have never known I wasn't healing correctly, so I'm happy we waited.

    I waited until 7 weeks. I had such a big baby and had some tearing and not great healing progress that I waited later. Plus I was kinda scared. But once it happened it was like no big deal and I can't believe I made such a big deal outta waiting so long.

    We didn't even make it two weeks.  Two weeks would've been on a thursday and I think we did it the Monday night before.

    Now, I had a vaginal birth, with no tearing or episiotimy or anything so I healed very quickly and felt really good at a week an a half out.

    I will say this though, it was very tight and sore still and almost felt like being a virgin again.  But it was nice!
