Did you find that people who did things to help out early on (bringing over meals, helping with housework, etc.) just sort of showed up, or did they talk to you about it prior to your delivery? Hardly anyone has said anything to me about helping out in any way and I'm just wondering if they don't think of it until the babies arrive, or if I should not be expecting too much assistance. Thanks!
My mom told me ahead of time that she was going to be around to help. Also the ladies at church brought me meals and I knew about it ahead of time. Others just called after the babies came and asked how they could help or offered to bring meals.

I asked people to say away except immediate family, due to swine flu and RSV being a big issue here at the time. I was lucky my hubby was home for two weeks, then my mom came for 10 days.
