I would say Keer-an, as well. And I would only think of a boy being named that even though I came across a girl named it on a TLC show last week (but allt he siblings had crazy names or spellings!)

we actually really liked this name, except dh has a friend named this so we couldn't use it. and we pronounce it k-year-an.

Well no one's had any trouble pronouncing it! I love the name, Ciar?n was my boy name until I found out she's a girl, but I much prefer it spelled the traditional way.
