My lo is now 4.5 months old.
He kicks, flails, moves, jumps in his sleep, makes his noises all the time.
There is never a time where he is just calm. When changing his diaper, he is kicking constantly....yet he still hasn't rolled over yet.
Even while trying to put him to sleep, he is fidgeting and rubbing his face/head and moving his legs/hands.
While sleeping, he jumps at the slightest sound or self-movement.
I get comments all the time that he is a very ACTIVE baby.
Does anyone else feel concerned that their little baby i too active???
I just am curious and worried (as I usually am) that he is hyperactive adn is showing signs of it this early on.
I know I should just enjoy him but once again, the PPA gets me worried all the time about how he grows and develops.
Thanks for your support/feedback.
Re: "Overactive Baby" ? ? ?
Sounds exactly like my DS. He is almost always moving! Especially when he is trying to fall asleep. Sometimes I have to hold his hands, because he rubs his face, and eyes so much that it keeps him awake!
This. And I'm sorta dreading when he becomes mobile, because I don't think he will ever stop moving
My nearly 3-year-old DD was an active baby. I used to say holding her was like trying to cuddle a squirrel. She has never stopped moving. But she isn't hyperactive really, just always fidgeting and moving her little body. I marvel at other toddlers who can actually sit still at restaurants or church. DD is in constant motion. We have always gotten a lot of comments from observers that she never stops moving. It's just part of her personality, and it was evident early on. But I am not concerned about ADHD or anything, because it's not like she's running in circles all the time; she can sit to do an activity, she just continues to move around in her chair. Kind of funny to watch, really.
I wouldn't worry about your LO. He may like to move, but I don't think that correlates to hyperactivity.
