Prickly breasts?

The past few days my boobs will randomly feel like they're being pricked with needles! According to my mother that's milk being made, but its only just started and Blue is almost 4 weeks old! We had to give him formula because he wasn't gaining any weight just BFing, but I still BF at every feeding, so I would think that I've already been making milk? I don't know, is any one else feeling this??

Yes...and it even happens after I pump....so I don't think it has to do with beng full. Ouch.....

That just started for me too in the past day or so! It only happens to me when LO is nursing.

That's your milk let-down and often people don't notice it for the first few weeks. Totally normal.

yup......it is the let-down of the milk. i told my DH i can tell time now by my breasts.........3 hours after the last feeding (if she lets me go that long without eating!) right down to the minute!!
