I just looked it up and the one that did the trick was 29 million. No wonder he was so popular. Before that the other donors (we tried with multiple donors) were 9-15M
The one that worked was just 7.8 million. Our donor trended low on all of the 16 vials we purchased. Usually under 10 million, and once as low as 3.
*If you are working with Fair.fax, be very very wary of their refund policy. If you ship vials to your own clinic (which saves on shipping rather than going each by each), you will likely never see your money back if you have low numbers. Obviously, we ended up with two children (and five pregnancies) with this donor, but those numbers still sucked.*
The paperwork that came with our samples shows the count as 36.6 mil/vial, post-thaw, and all samples are washed for IUI. He's not one of the "super donors" at our bank, all of whom have even higher counts. Of course, since we're inseminating at home we can't verify the actual counts, but people who do verify report the numbers matching the paperwork (or even higher).
Re: Donor sperm
I'm pretty sure that both try #1 and 2 were 15 million.
Congratulations!! Hope your wife is feeling well and enjoying the first tri!

If it works, there's no such thing as too low.
