Bed rest and sex

Just curious I was placed on bed rest due to high bp does anyone know if you can still have sex? My DH and I were talking about it. Although I am in noooo mood to have sex I was just curious.

I don't think you would be able to beacuse I'm sure sex increases BP.

I had sex when I was bed rest for a PTL scare, but I maybe shouldn't have. I would guess you probably shouldn't!

I was specifically told "no". Dh even asked if he promised to make it super fast and totally unenjoyable for me. After my OB stopped laughing he still said no. Sorry.

My guess is no. I was on BR for 8 weeks and that included vaginal rest. Check with your Doc to be sure. But if you are like anyone else...my guess is a little sex will get that heart rate a pumpin!

I'm on bedrest for high BP and my doc says no. Actually on my forms that he filled out he put "bedrest with bathroom privileges". Oh, thanks Doc....I really appreciate that!!!
