Anyone up? You won't believe these 2 kids names!!!!

Ok, so I am a sub. teacher for grades Preschool - 5th. I sub in a pretty low income, kind of rough district. I had 2 students today and I couldn't believe their names.

1. Deaariousnas

2. J-Nificient (as in Magnificient)

I am just speechless sometimes. I said to the first little boy "I'm sorry sweetie, I don't know how to pronounce your name" and he said in a sad tone "That's ok, no one does, you can just call me D." I'm sorry but these parents are setting their kids up for a rough time in the future. Can you imagine a doctor, lawyer, teacher, account manager, etc named J-Nificient or Deaariousnas?

    That's really sad...hopefully they will get out of their current situation and maybe look into a name change!

    We had a sales rep from some company come to our office and his name was Shake Pepper.  I can't believe someone would name their kid that.

    It's sad...I've taught in a lot of places and I once had a girl named Queen Unique.  I also had a boy once named Baby Boy, because nobody ever named him.

     I don't know if they were keeping track or something... it baffles me!

    Oh and let me just add one more....I fellow teacher's name is Mary (wait for it) COCKBURN. that is her last name and when she signs things she signs them M. *** scribble scribble so it looks like mmmmmmmmmm ***. How horrible is that!!!!!!!! One of the male teachers brought that to our attention and we died laughing.... It's so sad but at the same time... how can you not giggle

    I also work in education and hate it when I have to ask a third grader how to pronounce his or her name.  I have one student named Hermajesty (as in Her Majesty the Queen!!  it is crazy :( poor kids.

    Our kids are going to be the freaks when we give them normal names.  Go look at the baby names board for proof.  I plan on giving my children real, existing names with correct spellings.  Too bad I can't say that much for a lot of the other mom's on the bump.

    That's what I thought when I read.  "OMG, they named her what George wants to name his kid."
