Ok, so I am a sub. teacher for grades Preschool - 5th. I sub in a pretty low income, kind of rough district. I had 2 students today and I couldn't believe their names.
1. Deaariousnas
2. J-Nificient (as in Magnificient)
I am just speechless sometimes. I said to the first little boy "I'm sorry sweetie, I don't know how to pronounce your name" and he said in a sad tone "That's ok, no one does, you can just call me D." I'm sorry but these parents are setting their kids up for a rough time in the future. Can you imagine a doctor, lawyer, teacher, account manager, etc named J-Nificient or Deaariousnas?
Uggg
Re: Anyone up? You won't believe these 2 kids names!!!!
My mom aides in CA... one of her students had a kid and named the kid La-a.....

Oh my lord!
I have a child who's parents named her seven as in after 6 before 8...
I don't know if they were keeping track or something... it baffles me!
