When can doppler pick up the HB?

At what point (i.e. how many weeks), can the HB be heard with a doppler? Is it the same time period as a vag u/s? Or different?

    My doctor did the doppler at 11 weeks - and even then they said it wasn't 100% that they would find/hear it and that they would keep trying or schedule me for an u/s to make sure everything's good. Thankfully, the doctor heard it within a minute of turning the doppler on!

    I was able to hear HB using a doppler at 10w0d.  Dr said that was the early side.  Normally it's btw 10-12 wks.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    We heard the HB at 7 wks using u/s, but with my son we couldn't hear anything until 12 wks with doppler

    My midwife tried at 10 weeks with the dopplar but we couldn't find it.  She said I would have been very lucky to hear it that early.  However, I did see it on an u/s at 7 weeks.

    My doctor said around 12 weeks.  I'm hoping to hear it when I go for my next appt. at 11 weeks, 3 days.

    about 10 weeks is what my doctor said.
