If taking meds for ppd, who prescribed?

Does it have to be your OB? I don't see her for another 3 weeks but a counselor I used to see years ago (and can prescribe meds) has an opening next week.

    My psychiatrist. Don't wait for your OB, go to the counselor.

    My psychiatrist put me back on Wellbutrin as soon as DD was born. Thank god because it got REALLY rough. I didn't have PPD but was terribly depressed, I really think there is a difference between regular depression and PPD.

    Go see your counselor, your OB can prescribe but its best to have a trained professional in mental health oversee your meds.

    My OB recommended going to a psychiatrist...I think the OB can only do so much.
