1 month old....he'd been smiling in his sleep (big ones too) before then, but I counted the first official one that night at 12:32 in the am while Alex was holding him upright...Now he smiles for me only when I play with his nose, and for Alex when he talks to him, holding him up.
DDs first smile was the day we brought her home from the hospital (I know it was gas-but still we caught it on camera so it counts). She smiled so often that I didn't even notice when her smiles became genuine.

Around 6 weeks. She was on her changing table (that she loves) and I blow on her belly and she coos and smiles.
