Really sad....

My best friend with whom I've been friends with since first day freshman year of high school will probably not be around for the baby to be born. She was supposed to be with me.

    Sorry to hear that. That really does suck.

    When I posted a similar comment on the board about my best friend/godmother of the LO being away, most posters said that it wasn't a big deal, but I know how it feels. If you're not that close with your family, your best friend seems like your real "family" that should be there with you. 

    My sympathies!

    I understand completely. ?My best friend was sent to Iraq in April, so by the time she comes home my baby will be like 7 months or so. I am really really sad that she wont be able to be there, but she is going to make sure she is on skype for me so she will be there via internet! lol, everyone thinks we are crazy but shes been there for me through a lot, so this is just one other thing I want her there for.
