Can some one please answer my question!! Do some people actually eat the placenta... the placenta attachment post got me thimking... and people are really gross...?Also would that be considered canabolism because it is a human organ??

Yes, people eat it. Most tend to dry it, grind it up and put it into pill capsules.
It's theorized that eating the placenta can help ward off PPD.
yes, people do this.
some people fry it up at a home birth and pass it around.
some people bury it and plant a tree over it.
some people have it dried and put into pill form.
From a professional standpoint, this is scary.
I think it's fairly common in lots of cultures. I've also heard that women who are TTC eat it to aid with fertility...
Not really my cup of tea.

What sounds enticing about eating the placenta?? I don't even care to see it. I'm from Louisiana and people eat weird stuff sometimes.. but the placenta..? Really..? ::chill::
