Shooting pain

On Saturday, about 4 or 5 times, I had this sort of shooting pain go through what has to be my uterus.  A couple were pretty bad.  They didn't last long, though.  I had a mild one Sunday morning and had two today.  I was supposed to go to the doctor today but because the roads were bad I didn't make it.  Until Saturday I hadn't had anything like this.  It has me a bit worried.  Has anyone else had something like this?  Any ideas what it might be?

    I've had RLP or lightening crotch, a sharp shooting pain that lasts only a few seconds, usually feels like it goes straight up the vag. Is that maybe what you are feeling?

    I had some random pains in my lower uterus and ovaries. It passed and I chalked it up to growing pains.
