I had my NT scan yesterday. I managed to keep my anxiety in check most of the time, but it definitely crept up as the scan got closer. I had no reason to believe anything was wrong, but there is always that fear.
Once again, they were running super behind, which upset me. If you are going to make a person drink a whole bunch of water and hold it in, you better dang well be on time!
They took me into the little room, and the tech had this sober look on her face as she moved the wand around and pushed buttons. I thought I was going to be sick. I hate that they sit there all still and quiet and don't say anything - it scares the crap out of you!!
After she took all of her measurements, she finally let me see baby, and I started bawling right away. I couldn't believe how much baby had grown in those few short weeks. The heart was beating away strongly and the little legs were up in the "air" most of the time!
She gave me 4 pictures of baby, 2 from the front and 2 profile. It is tough to see in the one I posted because it is a picture of a picture, but you can see baby's hand right there in front of his/her face!
Anyway, sorry this got long, here is a picture of my little bean!
ETA: I looked at the paper with the measurements and the NT was 1.51mm, the bi-parietal diameter is 25.5mm, and crown to rump length is 76.0mm. How do these numbers sound? From what I know, these seem to be good numbers, so I'm super happy.
