Sorry it took me so long to post about my trip but this was dh first day back to work therefore my first time back on the computer. Lol well lets start with Disney world is fantastic!!!! I am have very bad Disney withdrawal and so are the kids. That place is truly magical. So Sunday morning we arrived at the airport at 5 am for a 8 am flight. To my surprise everything went smoothly. We were able to skip to the front of the line at TSA because of the double stroller. The flight was smooth no one cried and we arrived at Disney in one piece. The Disney magical express was wonderful. Although we had to wait on line for a while for it . It was expected due to it being peak season. Once we got to the hotel check in was a breeze ! The resort was amazing. They paid so much attention to detail and had all the theme characters for the resort everywhere! Nemo, the little mermaid, cars and the lion king . The nemo pool was the biggest pool at the resort and where all of the activities were. They had a splash pad there also. We were at the pool most of the day on Sunday. All of the cast members were so friendly and they had plenty of activities by the pool. Oh and they also had a bar not to far away from the pool that dh and I were at plenty of times during our stay. Sunday night we went to the rainforest cafe in downtown Disney . That place was fabulous! The food was excellent and the drinks, omg! N wasn't to sure about the atmosphere though. She was scared of all the moving animals. About every 20 minutes or so the monkeys start swinging and the birds fly as well as the gorillas start to move. The ceiling is covered with vines and hanging birds. Outside of the Resturant their is an alligator that moves and he sits in the middle of a waterfall. That place is truly amazing.
Monday : we got up extremely early6am because we had 8am reservations for the crystal palace at magic kingdom. The kids got to meet pooh and friends at breakfast. We took pictures in front of Cinderella's castle without anyone else in the way of our picture because the part wasn't open yet. Tip: try and get breakfast reservations before the park opens to give you a head start on some of the popular rides and to avoid all the long lines. After breakfast dh and big N went off to get on rides. Slash mounting was their first ride. The. Some runaway train. Dh lost his hat on splash mountain. After that we took the railroad over to new fantasy land . This is where we spent majority of our time. The littles got on dumbo, some airplane ride, the teacups, and some more that I can't remember. Tip: take advantage of all the fast passes if not the long lines will make you miserable. After a few rides we tracked down all of the princesses and Mickey , Minnie, Donald and goofy . We had lunch at the beast castle aka the be our guest Resturant . The food is German themed and amazing! There are different rooms that you can eat in geared towards different parts of the movie. You order your food in the front of the Resturant choose your room and the food magically appears at your table . After lunch it started to rain so we decided to go back to the hotel and get ready for our reservation later that night at Cinderella's castle. Once we arrived back to MK it was time for the electrical parade thanks to ness we had awesome seats. After the parade we went to the castle. Cinderella's castle is beautiful! We were ushered in to meet Cinderella downstairs and she took her time and spoke to each one of the girls. We went upstairs to dinner and each princess came to the table to greet and take pictures with each of the girls. Little N was sleeping but Snow White still came over to the stroller to take pictures with her. The food there was also great ! We watched the fireworks from the castle.
Tuesday was Hollywood studios, because we had gotten up early the day before no one wanted to get up early except me. We got to the park about 1pm just enough to make our lunch reservations at Hollywood and vine. This is a Buffett Resturant is great . There is where you can meet most of the Disney junior characters. N and little N really enjoyed this place. The characters dance and play with the kids throughout the meal. They also get the parents involved. Of course after lunch it started raining AGAIN! We waited out the rain by seeing all of the shows. The Disney junior show was a hit as well As the little mermaid show. We had dinner at the 50's resturant and the fried chicken was so good. the best fried chicken ive ever had! our waitress was very mean. this was a themed resturant and she was suppose to play games with us but she didnt nor did she with the table next to us. This made me sad. But the peanut butter and jelly milkshake is to die for! After dinner the rain stopped and then dh and I decided to get on rides because big N didn't want to ride any rides that day. Moody per teens I guess dh and I got on the tower of terror and theAerosmith rocking roller coaster ride. I must admit dh and I felt so young again and it felt good! After that we sat and had a turkey leg and was just in time for the last show of the night FANTASMIC! This is a must see and in my opinion the best show in Disney.
Wednesday we had reservations for breakfast at chef mickeys which N and little N got to meet their favorite Minnie and Donald. The food was good here too! After breakfast we took the monorail to a bus and went to animal kingdom and this was by far my least favorite of the trip. We waited an hour for the safari ride WITH a fast pass! It was not all that I expected. I hate the zoo so this is probably why I was not a fan of this park. After the safari they drop you off on this nature trail and I hated every bit of it. Dh and big N got on some water raft ride while my mom and I enjoyed an African margarita And a sugar cane mojito. I loved that the park was broken up into different parts of the world and Africa was by far my favorite. The kids got their face painted and we enjoyed shopping at the African markets. Although there is not much rides to get on there and is pretty boring . I wanted to see Divine but she was done for the day. We decided to see the lion king show. It was great. A must see!
Thursday was check out day . My mom and I went to downtown Disney with the kids to do some shopping while dh went back to Hollywood studios to get on all the rides we missed! He had a great time by himself and saw things at the park we didn't get to get to on Tuesday. My mom's flight was at 2pm so she left way before us. Since we were not leaving until later on that night we had time to explore the rest of the resort and dh and I got some time with the little kids big N left with my mom to stay with her for the summer . We explored the rest of the resort and played in the arcade until it was time to board the magical express. We were so sad to leave and the kids cried. Dh didn't want to come home either. Once at the airport we found out that our flight was delayed for 5 hours! We got home at 3 am Friday morning. All in all our trip was amazing! But we just need to make sure we spend at least a week to be a me to see everything and at least two days at each park except animal kingdom to experience it all!
Oh and here is the magical ending to our first family vacation! I found out I am pregnant yesterday ! I don't know how it happened and dh and I are in total shock! We don't know what to think. I'm not even sure I'm ready. M2m I'm gonna really need your advice on how to deal. Other support and advice is welcomed too! Oh and I have not said anything on fb or to family and friends so please don't post anything on fb about it unless you pm. Thanks :
