Pregnant after a Loss

Maternity clothes ?

Mobile: Maternity clothes ?

I've noticed in my shopping lately that many maternity dresses and shirts have horizontal stripes. Now tell me if I'm wrong, but I thought horizontal stripes made you look wider, so it seems like it wouldn't be a very good pregnant belly choice.

  • For me, the issue with stripes is not so much the wideness aspect, but the fact that they get all distorted like looking through a fish eye lens when they stretch around the belly lol.

  • I think it depends on how you are shaped. If you carry baby pretty compact it looks super cute and accents the bump, but if the belly is wide then it just looks worse. So far I still like the way the stripes look on me but I have a feeling as baby grows I may change my mind on that one!

  • I guess I'll have to wait until I have a legitimate bump before I try on any striped clothing.  I have a feeling I'll be one of those huge, wide-bellied women who won't be able to wear stripes.
