Teething already?

Is this even possible? My LO is 2 months and over the past few days has become a drooley grouch. She is normally easy going, only fusses when she is hungry, wet or tired. The past few days she has been a drooly grump. Crying for no reason. I have not eaten anything weird that would make my BM make her gassy. The only thing I can think of is the beginning of teething. But is this even possible, she is only 2 months....

ive been wondering the same. I know some babies are born with teeth... I did read that they can exhibit signs if teething months before cutting the first tooth... On the flip side I think it may be reflux... Ill be asking the pedi Monday.

  • I have been wondering as well. DS is the same exact way, never fussy except when hungry and needs a bib lately from so much drool. Also always chewing in his hand when he isn't hungry. We have our 2 month shots today so I plan to be asking.

M has a dormant tooth that could be seen starting at around 8 weeks. I asked my pedi about it and she confirmed. However, she said it could sit there for a while before real teething began.
  • My friends 3mo is teething and the behaviour started two weeks before the teeth were visible. GL

  • My baby is acting the same way. I don't know that it's teeth but he is fussy, sucks on his hands constantly which is a new thing for him and isn't sleeping well.

He was 2 months on Wed.

Same here. Except he is sleeping well. And will be 2 mo on Sat. But very drooly and chewing on hands. I'm wondering if its a normal 2 mo old thing. I don't think my guy is teething. I didn't get teeth til almost a year. And DH was normal time, like 6 mo

I thought the chewing on hands and drooling was just a normal part of discovering their hands at this age. And being able to do that kept them awake more.

  • My pedi informed me that all babies start to get really droolly between 2 and 4 months and its also part of normal development to chew on their hands.
