Time away

What's the longest you've been away from your baby thus far?

I'm feeling a little guilty. Little man is staying with my parents for the weekend (at our place). We're getting a hotel in town.

My husband and I really really need the break but this will be the longest I've been away from Kieran :(

Married: August 2008
DS born: February 2013
TTC #2: Nov. 14

    That sounds awesome, I would NOT feel guilty! I've only left him for a few hours so far but I am planning on a longer break soon cause the hubs and I really need it.

    The longest I've been away was an 8 hour workday. Since we EBF I'd much rather stay with her because nursing is way easier than pumping. You shouldn't feel guilty though!

    On the 20th I'm headed out for an all night bachelorette party for one of my girlfriends. We're getting a hotel room, so I won't be coming home that night. There's maybe 1% of me that's like awww I won't be there to put the little guy to bed but the other 99% of me is psyched to have a full night off!

    Planning on being home with DH tomorrow for the day while DD is with her grandma. It will be the longest I've spent with DH without DD around since she was born! I'm looking forward to it but will probably miss her alot and do nothing but talk about her! :-/

    Longest we've been away is the work day.. If we had someone willing to take her for an overnight that we trusted, I would definitely do it!

    That's what usually happens when we do go out. Then if we get a buzz at all we start going through our phones showing pictures and videos to each other. LOL. So lame.

    5 days. We were in the middle of a move and my dh and son moved early because he had to start his new job. I had to stay behind to finish up the school year. I only saw my family on weekends and it lasted three weeks.

    I've taken no time away from Delilah thus far.

    The only time Ive been away from DS was when Delilah was born. I had a RCS at 11am on the wednesday morning and was back home by noon on saturday.

    I don't judge those who want time away, but I cant do it.

    We just went away last Friday night and stayed ina hotel about 20 minutes from home. I felt super guilty as I was saying goodbye and packing up, but after I got there and took a long nap and hot bath, I felt like a whole new person! And that was before dinner and drinks!!
    In order to take care of LO, you need to take care of yourself! Go for it!!!
