Did you grow up with one in your house?
Do you have one now?
Love, luck, and prayers to my BFPB Dr. SnowflakeBride
Yes, I grew up with one. No we don't have one now, but I think that resealable packaging has made them more obsolete.
I did own one in adulthood, however, it made it's way to the garbage as soon as I could get rid of it, it was a lovely gift from my grandma. It was a silver Christmas tree, and it was hideous.
My grandmother had one at one point. When you lifted the lid it made noise. Soon after we got it one of the kids dropped the lid and broke it. We glued it back together but it wasn't the same after that. It hung around for years but we stopped using it.
No we do not have a cookie jar now.
Yes! We loved the cookie jar growing up! I have one now, but I don't keep cookies in it, it is for hiding my checkbooks..
nope and nope...I remember friends and relatives have them but not at our house, at least not as I got older. I have a faint memory of a cookie jar, but I don't know where it was. . .
edit - just got off the phone with my mom - she's always had a cookie jar, but she put her seed packets in it - which must be why it's such a hazy memory - especially since I have been out of the house for over 20 years;-)
yup....grew up with one & my parents still have/use it.
nope...don't have one now. Since i'm gluten free...we dont go through cookies all that often...and we dont usually keep them in the house (minus the new Fig Newton cookies...those are Ks "special" treat!)
Nope, didn't have one growing up. Aside from the issue of self control, I imagine that things get stale very quickly if I mustered the strength not to eat the entire thing in one sitting.
We have one now, but it only has dog treats in them. Mmmmm, crunchy.
Jennifer Ruth:No and No. I do not have that kind of selfcontrol. COOKIES
Yes we had a jar for cookies....but it never was used that way! Since it was an antique.
We don't have one now, though when I make cookies they go into a container. But that's rare,
We had one growing up and my grandma still has one at home- the first thing my DH does when we visit them is clean out her cookie jar, lol
We do not have one, but we have a goodies basket on our coffee table with mints, dollar store candies, etc.
