Ok ladies, be honest...
How bad is it that some days I pump every 3 hours and some days I pump every 4. It all really just depends on what is going on and when I will have time to pump. I normally pump every 4 hours but there are days, like today, it works better to pump every 3 because of appointments, errands, etc.
I don't think I've ever done an intro on this board so here's the short version:
LO was born 17 days early on June 4th. During her newborn exam the pedi discovered that she has a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. She will have open heart surgery in a few months. I really wanted to BF but it's not best for her. The cardiologist said she can nurse but not full time. Right now we are trying to nurse about twice a day but she only gets about half a feeding before we have to stop. Since she has to work so hard when she's nursing to get the milk it makes her heart work harder and she gets tired really easily. I am perfectly ok with having to pump because I know it's what is best for her.
