Baby Showers

NBR: Thank you card wording

I have a question that is not baby related but it is an etiquette question. We bought a house in November and just had some family over last weekend for fathers day. My aunt didn't come but sent along a housewarming gift, an outdoor table and chairs. We actually had already set up a table and chairs so before I could write my thank you note she sent a card and included the receipt so we could pick something else out.

I am just trying to figure out what to write in the thank you note.  Normally I would thank her for the gift she gave but she knows we will be returning it. I could wait until we get something new but I really want to get the thank you note out as soon as possible. If you could give me your opinion on how to word it I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
