Just want to say thank you to my gals who are hosting my shower? Should I? And if so what would be some good ideas as a gift?
I feel like I should give them even just a little something to say THANK You!
I gave umbrella's once for a bridal shower when I had 10 hostesses and couldn't afford to spend $20-30 on each of them. I actually thought it was really cute and fit the "shower" theme. Other's might not agree, but to me it was a practical item that I know ppl can throw in their cars and use later. You can find cute, affordable ones at Marshalls, ROSS, or TJ Maxx.
My three closest friends hosted my first shower. As a thank you I got them each embroided beach totes and filled it with a matching towel, flip flops and a margarita glass. They all loved it.
For my second shower (hosted by my mom and MIL): we bought them each a beautiful bouquet of flowers and in the bouquet we put a thank you note and a gift card.
The gifts don't need to be elaborate but I do think that even a small gift is a nice gesture showing your appreciation. Maybe a giftcard to their favorite restaurant? A bottle of their favorite wine/champagne? A giftcard to get a pedi or a mani?
I hosted a baby shower last year and the mother-to-be gave me a Massage Envy giftcard plus cash for the tip. It was a great gift that I definitely appreciated!
I would definitely do something as a thank you to show my appreciation. My two sister-in-laws recently hosted a shower for me, and they truly did so much, including getting a large gift item off my registry in addition to everything else, that I got them each massage certificates at upscale spas in their area.
My mom and a friend of hers are hosting one for me in a few weeks, and I can't think of what to get them! Maybe wine and flowers...?
