Oh Leah, how awful!!
Sophie is a happy spitter and that means, you guessed it, choking. All.the.time. It's the most horrible thing to hear and see. We've gotten used to it now, but every once in awhile, she does the deep red colored face and the fingers and arms shoot out with wide eyes. Horrible.

kmc84:Scary!!! I'm glad he is ok!
If he stops breathing, you can blow in his face. Sometimes that reminds babies to breathe. We had to do that with E once.
fabulouspinkmady:When DS2 was getting his 2mo shots, he turned dark red and did the silent "not breathing" cry and the nurse told me to blow on his face... Which I did, but then the nurse was like "you should blow SOFTLY on his face" lol I guess I was kinda freaked out!
This just made me laugh out loud. :)
So sorry that this happened to you! Very scary.
Same thing happened to us last week when I was giving L his gripe water for his hiccups. He must have just had too much liquid in his throat bc he could not catch his breath and his lips turned blue. It was the scariest seconds of my life (it felt like minutes). He eventually coughed and even though it took him a second to get his breath back I knew once he started coughing that he was alright. H came flying out of the bathroom because all he was hearing me say was "Breathe L, breathe."

I am so sorry to hear this happened! This happened to my best friend and her LO, but for them it wound up being silent reflux. I know she was really shaken up by the whole thing and I am so sorry.
I actually switched from the Enfamil vitamins to the Carlson vitamin d drops because I read about babies having bad reactions to them. The Carlson vitamins are just one drop and it isn't a heavy syrup or anything.
