trying before buying

Anyone have any ideas on how I could try a baby k'tan before I buy? So far LO hates the Ergo Baby and barely tolerates the ring sling. The wrap style carriers seem like the only style that is pretty different from those two. I am afraid to buy another carrier, though.

Definitely try a K'tan before you buy. I ordered one online for DS and it never worked for me. Sizing is tricky. Try to find a local retailer to try sizing and get help positioning the baby. A Moby might work better since you adjust it to fit however you want.

  • I know buy buy baby has all there carriers available to try on and a freakishly real fake baby to try with them. Or you can use real baby but I'm scared of all the germs.

I suggest this as well. I love both the K'Tan and the Moby but the sizing can be a little weird with the K'Tan. I was a 4 pre preg and I got an XS and it works awesome!

  • The website www.paxbaby.com allows you to rent baby carriers for a few weeks to try them out before you buy. I haven't done it yet but probably will, the website was recommended by the nurses that taught the labor delivery/childcare class that I took through my hospital. Good luck! :
