Trouble TTC

DH walked out last night....

I can't believe this is happening. We got into another argument about taking time for each other when I got home from work last night. He left late last night and hasn't come home.

I'm starting to think that IF has actually ruined our marriage.

I'm just in shock right now

I will be praying for you both for strength and I'm sorry that IF has taken this toll. Perhaps the break will bring you closer together. I just have to beleive that because I know how strong you both have had to be to endure what's been put "on your plate" with life's struggles in the IF department. Vent anytime and KNOW you have many friends here to support you.

  • Naria, I'm so sorry. It sucks that something you both hate so much (IF) can have such an impact on your relationship. But you guys have been through so much together already, and you will get through this. Like others have said, your marriage comes first so I'd just have a serious talk about everything and what you both can do now to make things better in the relationship.

We are always here if you need anything - a vent, advice, a good cry - whatever.

  • I'm so sorry, Naria. IF can put so much strain relationships... it just sucks because the issues probably wouldn't be there if IF weren't a factor. Even though it seems bad now, I believe you two will come out stronger after all of this. Hopefully he was able to find some clarity by getting a little distance, and he'll come back recharged and ready to hash it out.

Of course IF and all these other things will put a strain on your marriage. But I'm certain that you can work it out and come out of it much stronger. May I suggest marriage counseling? I think it's very healthy it shouldn't only be used for adultery and being at the brink of divorce. It will help both of you deal with this very strenuous situation.

We had already been talking about it and looking at local therapist's reviews- so I definitely think it's something that will be discussed.

He sent me a text awhile ago saying that he'd like to grab dinner and talk things over tonight. I'm just staying hopeful right now

DH and I did a couple sessions of marriage counseling last Aug/Sept when we first started IF testing. It helped us a lot to communitcate openly about our feelings and needs. We also learned some tools for proper communication so that every disagreement didn't turn into a giant blow out.

  • I'm sorry IF is putting such a strain on your marriage. I hope your talk goes well tonight. Best of luck.

    The short story:
TTC since June 2012. Fought infertility (anovulation & PCOS)
until IVF finally led to BFP #1 in Nov
    2013.
In March 2014 at 20 weeks PG we lost our precious baby due to severe deformities (TFMR).
Started TTCAL June 2014 and got our miracle BFP #2 without infertility treatments 8/6/14!
Praying this is our take-home baby.
