Trouble TTC

Joint pain? Odd follistim side effect?

So for the life of me I cannot think of how I might have hurt my shoulder yesterday.  But I woke up at 4:45am this morning with it in pain.  I thought I just maybe slept on it funny so I got comfy and once again fell asleep.    Woke up at 8am and again sheer pain.  I spent the next hour slowly rotating and rubbing that shoulder.  And (I blame the drugs)  after only being awake for an hour and a half after 8 hours sleep I was still tired, so I lay down on the couch - making sure that shoulder was pointing up with my hand resting naturally on my hip.  After about 45 minutes, I woke up and again my shoulder is in pain when I move it.

Instantly I searched "follistim joint pain" because DH was like "I don't think you sprained it" when I asked if I should use ice or heat.  And he's right, I really didn't do anything yesterday to hurt it.  And I did see joint pain can be a side effect, but I've not had it the other two cycles we did follistim.

Anyone ever experience it?

  • I haven't been on follistim but joint pain was a side effect I experienced with the Lupron. My RE suggested adding osteobiflex to my vitamin regimen.

Hoping you feel better soon and that this cycle is it for you. Good luck.
