Clots and tissue with first period

I just started my first period at 8 weeks PP, and I passed a pretty large clot. That's not unusual with my periods, but there was some tissue like material in it too which has me freaked out. I had a c section, so surely part of the placenta didn't get left behind, right? Anybody else experience this?

    I had a c/s march 27 and passed a huge piece of something a few weeks back. My OB said not to worry about it unless i had excessive bleeding, which i didn't have. It was pretty gross, though.
