Intro...finally

Hello! I've posted on this board before but have never intro'd myself, although I know many of you from other boards. My details are in my siggy, but the short of it is I have stage 4 endometriosis and thanks to a laparotomy am also considered DOR. DH and I did 1 IVF last year, my embies just weren't that great and decided not to stick around for the long haul. After much consideration DH and I have decided to pursue donor embryos. Our clinic has a DEmbryo program and we are at the top of the list (probably the only ones on the list lol) but it's been 2 weeks already and I am getting impatient!! I also started talking to a clinic in NV about their program since they have waiting embryos and am waiting for them to email me their pricing details. The base price is listed on their site but it doesn't include all the extra things that you have to get done. I am sooooo ready to for this to happen already!!!

That's unfortunate about the cost, but very good about the fact they have some! Once you get a batch, do you keep all of them for future transfers? And do you know anything about the ones available?

  • Welcome!  I have twins via donor embryo.

It does work!!! but not always on the first attempt.  This was my second set of Dembryos from 2nd set of donors.

We traveled out of state to a clinic that had waiting embryos.  Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to have a family. It actually was a really nice trip for the 2 of us and great to getaway.  We did a lot of sight seeing and enjoyed the trip regardless of the outcome.

If costs at NV clinic are close to home clinic, then I would try to compare success rates between clinics.

    Good luck!

  • Welcome, DP!  Sorry you have to be here -- but I'm convinced that when the donor cycle works you won't look back.  I hope you're matched with some donor embies soon.

    Hey Double P,

    Welcome to the board!

We are doing a fresh DE DS cycle this summer. So we will hopefully be the parents of donor embryo babies as well.
Good luck on finding your embies. I'm sure you have looked into it, but have you considered California conceptions? I know there are a lot of factors to be considered with this process, as we have been looking into this for a very long time. If this cycle is a bust and we don't get frosties, we will be cycling there. Their prices are very reasonable and from what I've read, most patients are really happy with them.
Good luck in whatever you choose! Keep us posted!!

2nd Fresh DE/DS IVF: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again. Not even surprised. FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN 6/14 repeat SHG normal. Will have Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy in early July...hoping for some answers FET of our last 2 embies late summer/early fall 2014
