New orange spit up

After nursing this morning my LO spit up a little which is normal for her but there was orange spit up mixed with the white spit up. I've never seen this before and I'm concerned because she has had poop that was this color. The last few days her poop has been yellowgreen. She is acting fine although last night she was impossible to get to bed but she was very overtired as she refused to nap almost all day. Am I just over thinking this? Thanks ladies!

  • My LO has had this kind of spit up a couple times. I think it may just be a little bit of bile coming up with the milk for some reason. I would think if it only happens on occasion it's nothing to worry about. I was freaked out the first time it happened too. But I would say if your concerned there is no harm in calling your pedi and asking.

I don't really belong on here, but DS is EFF and spit up the same stuff about 2 months ago. I talked to the dr about it and he said that LOs tummy is still getting use to being a tummy and having food in it that sometimes not everything stays in- fresh food or not. Nothing to be worried about.. unless it looks like coffee grounds.
