I need help! So last week I dropped my last pumping session, which means DS nurses in the morning, gets 3 bottles of Formula at DC, BFs at bedtime, and BF or formula once overnight. Ever since last Thursday he rarely finishes his bottles, not even half! He only drinks 1 to 2 oz per bottle at daycare, and last weekend he didn't finish his bottles at home either. Just weird he went from 18 oz of formula and 3 nursing sessions a day to 6 to 8 oz and 2 nursing sessions.
Last Thursday I had to pick him up from DC early due to a 101 degree temp, stayed home with him on Friday and he wasn't much better, woke up with 102.5 deg on Saturday and then that was about it. I swear he's teething but still has nothing to show for it. I don't know what the deal is. And I have no idea what I can do. The only thing I know is he's definitely not consuming enough.
He gets fruit puree for breakfast, fruit or veggie puree for lunch, and some kind of meat/veggie puree combo for dinner all about 3 to 4 oz worth each meal. He's about sick of purees now too, so I know I need to start finger foods. I stopped giving him oatmeal/cereal a couple months ago when we started supplementing with formula because the extra iron was causing constipation. Should I be giving him cereal? And if so, what would the cereal/milk ratio be if I'm trying to up his milk/formula consumption?
Gosh it's so frustrating when I think I've gotten him figured out, things go completely whacko!
