So I picked my son up from daycare yesterday and his provider was telling me about his day and had mentioned that once he turns one they can no longer give him formula. She said they usually ask that the parents start transitioning about 2 weeks prior to turning one. I knew that we were going to transition, but I was going to wait until his one year appointment and got his doctors recommendations for doing that at the time. His appointment is about 2 weeks after his 1st birthday. I guess I had never heard that daycares couldn't give babies formula once they turn one..have any of you heard of that? I know I need to just ask them about it, but was in a hurry last night when I was picking him up so I didn't when she brought it up. I guess I dont know that I want to start transitioning him to cow's milk in the next week and a half. He doesn't turn one til June 4th. Thoughts?
