similac sensitive

Anyone use similac sensitive for "fussiness and gas" and feel it doesn't make a difference if not worse?

we switched and it did help, but i also changes her bottles to Dr. Brown's at the same time so I'm sure that has something to do with it as well.

I used it with my first and loved it. I'm currently using is for DD2 and she's still gassy. But I did try to switch to enfamil gentlease and that was worst she screamed and wouldn't drink it so we are back to similac sensitive and she eats good and still alil gassy but I'm using gas drops too. But she's not in pain from the gas just farts alot. She's fussy bc of her acid reflux and we just got a prescription for that now.

We started with Similac Advance and switched to Sensitive and didn't see a difference. Plus, it was really foamy when we mixed it and when he spit it up, it was chunky. We are now using Enfamil Gentlease and have had good results.

This by far made my son more miserable than any other formula we tried. He does great with Gerber Gentle now though!

I switched for one day and it made him MUCH worse! Went back to similac advanced and he's happy as can be! I don't know if it was the switch from ready to feed advanced to powdered sensitive or just the ingredients, but it was a nightmare for a day.

Every baby is different.  We use Enfamil Gentlease.  Target also has Gentle version.  Maybe your pedi can give you samples to try out to see what works.

Similac Sensitive is specifically for babies with fussiness and gas due to lactose intolerance. If they are not lactose intolerant it will not help. Also it has corn syrup and sugar because they had to replace lactose, sugar from milk, with something that lactose intolerant babies can digest.  I've been using it since week 1 and he is much more comfortable although still pretty gassy. We found out he was lactose intolerant at his first appointment because he was having extremely watery stools and was very fussy after eating and the pediatrician suggested this may be the problem.
