Re: +++++3rd Tri Check In+++++

  • Update: appt yesterday... my BP was up a little 134/88, so I have to take it easy.  Everything else looks/measures great.  I get my 1st cervical check next week the day before my due date.  I'm glad I've avoided them until now as I think that would just be something else for me to stress over.

QOTW: We now own a 3 bed 2 bath house!  Carpet finally went in yesterday and we were able to start setting up computer/bedroom/etc... we've been fully out of our rental for a week though... so life the past week was .... interesting...........

  • Congrats to the new mammas!!! I've loved seeing your pictures and reading your birth stories!!! I can't believe how quickly my due date is approaching!

I've been feeling pretty good in general. I got the stomach bug this past weekend from DH which was not fun and I'm just finally starting to feel like myself again. Monday was really hard with leftover gas pains and cramping all day which made me nervous enough to switch my Tuesday morning appointment to Monday night. And I'm did - even though there was no news and basically, as I thought, it was unfortunately you may just start getting uncomfortable at this point, it made me feel better and sleep a little easier that night coming from the doctors office!

They did my strep B culture which I'll get my results for next week when I go back for my next appointment. My office also does not do cervical checks as a routine part of appointments until your due date, but since I had the cramping, she did a quick check and my cervix was still nice and high and I am not dilated at all yet thankfully.

QOTW: We've owned a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house for a little over three years now. We didn't move recently obviously, but we had a few major projects in the past few months that have kept us pretty hectic as some of the work was done ourselves including: taking out a load bearing wall, having the fireplace resurfaced from brick to stone, tearing out all the rugs and having new ones installed. It's been quite crazy and there's just a little straightening left to do, but the house is almost back together, the nursery is painted, and the dresser has been partly put together! A couple more weeks and I hope to have a picture of the nursery to share!!!

Can't wait to hear the rest of your updates!!!

  • Big congrats to all our new mamas!

My EDD is June 28th, and I am team pink.

Updates: Nothing much... I have my first of the bi-weekly appointments tomorrow, and we have our first birthing class tonight, so things are starting to feel real.

QOTW: We own a three bedroom, one bath cape with a fenced in yard very close to where we work.  It's a great neighborhood and we love it!  Although it sounds slightly insane to move when pregnant (especially near the end) it is also really nice, because everything will be clean and organized!  We are desperately trying to get everything in order, and sometimes I just think it would be easier to move.  (okay, not really.)

Glad you might getting another week to bake lady!!
It was a freakin' short sale!  You hear all these stories about 6-8 months before the bank comes back with anything, but they accepted our offer outright in 4 freakin' weeks!  I was so excited to get to walk around barefoot finally and have doors back on closets, etc... Stick out tongue

  • 33.3 (lol) weeks and SO excited!  Working on my birth plan and other fun things.  Sick of working but have to stick it out six more weeks.  Actually applying to new jobs in my third trimester which is crazy but that's how much I don't want to go back there.

QOTW: What are your crib stats?  Own?  Rent?  # of bedrooms and bathrooms?  Anyone as crazy as I am to move in their last month of pregnancy?  Oy!

We own a condo. I like it but we're anxious for more space.  Patiently waiting until we have enough funds to comfortably own both the condo (which we'll rent out) and a new house.  Maybe by the end of the year.  Currently we have two bedrooms (though one is DH's office) and two bathrooms.

  • Congrats to the new mommas! :)

Feeling pretty good here. I'm sort of having a hard time with the GD requirements...work gets me whirring along, and I forget to test my breakfast, then I don't eat all my lunch at once and can't remember when I ate what I DID eat, and I just haven't been feeling the big dinners, so my dinners are more like small meals with after-snacks. When I do test, my BS seems good, and i do eat a lot of the same things over again, but I really need to do things properly. I will be so happy when I can just focus on healthy foods and not when/how much I have to eat!

We have an U/S this week, as well as my first NST. I am now on 1 week appts...woot!

We own a pretty small 2 bedroom house with 1.5 baths. We put in the upstairs half bath a few years ago, and I don't know how I would have survived pregnancy with only a bathroom on the first floor, so I am SO glad we added that tiny second bath!  There have been moments I barely made it to that one, and it is literally IN the bedroom. We have been house hunting for the past year or so, in the hopes of finding something with little more space (and maybe a few doors...this house does not have many internal doors, which will be an issue if we have a toddler.)

    4 IUIs: Bfn
    Antagonist IVF 7 retrieved, 4 fert w/ICSI&AH, 2 blasts transferred. Beta #1 9/20: 367 Beta #2 9/22: 841

  • Update: Had my 38 week appt on Monday and I am dilated 1-1.5 cm.  The doctor wanted to do a growth u/s bc he thinks I've gotten "bigger" since last week, even though I only gained about a pound.  Had the u/s today and the not-so-little man is estimated to weigh 8lb 3oz!  Going back to the doctor on Monday and we'll talk about the next steps.  Would love to go into labor anytime after the weekend!

QOTW: We own a 2 bedroom, 2 bath ranch.  It used to be 3 bedrooms but we gutted it (H grew up in this house) when I moved in and did a bigger bedroom for us.  So no spare room now that the other bedroom is the nursery.  Hoping to move in the next couple of years to a bigger house in a better school system.

IVF #1 in August 2012: BFP!

    Congrats to the new moms!

    Update: just impatiently waiting

QOTW: it's kind of involved. We own a house in MI that we currently rent out. We moved from it to Chicago 2 years ago and couldn't sell it. It's worked out since it's making us a little money. We are currently renting a 3 bed 2 bath house but are under contract for a 3 bed 2.5 bath house. We're dealing with an inspection issue that we're hoping will be worked out very soon. Hopefully we'll be moving in this summer!

  • Congratulations to all the new mommas!

No real update, just continuously getting more swollen, and more exhasuted daily. Only about 21 more days of work, so I am counting it down. I have another OB appt next Tuesday where I'll have my group B strep test, and since I've been having more period like cramping/contractions, I am going to see if they can check me.

QOTW: We've owned our 3 bed/1bath home for almost 4 years now. We've done a ton of work, and recently refinanced. We'd love to move to a bigger home with more land, however, the thought of being mortgage free before age 40 is a really really nice thought! We'll see.

  • Congratulations to the new mamas!

Update:  went to the dr for a special appt due to extreme pain when I walk.  Cervix and baby were all fine.  Apparently, LO is on a nerve.  I now walk very very slow.  Feet are crazy swollen.

QOTW:  We have a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house.  Currently one bedroom is being used for storage.  We are trying to get SS2 to take over this room.  It would put SS1 and SS2 on the same level with a common room for video games and entertaining.  We will add a bathroom to this level as well as a little kitchenette for the boys.  I would like to have a spare bedroom again.
