Can losing weight negatively affect milk supply? Ever since I cut dairy out of my diet about 6 weeks ago, I've lost 7 pounds. I'm now 4 pounds below my pre pregnancy weight, and I didn't need to lose weight before. I have noticed a significant decrease in milk supply and I'm just wondering if it could be connected to the weight loss.

I haven't been losing weight, but cut out processed food and dairy, and I have to be really careful about eating enough fats or I can tell DD isn't satisfied. I eat a lot of avocado and peanut butter.
Re: XP Losing weight and milk supply
Yes, but it's probably not the weight loss itself, so much as not eating enough calories and fat. Try to eat more of your "okay" foods.
