Coconut oil for thrush

I'm on Diflucan and have tried GSE and even gentian violet. It seems that right now what seems to be helping me is coconut oil. But I have a question. I know that generally you are supposed to let your nipples air dry before putting your bra back on. Does that go for coconut oil too since it is anti fungal? I'm at work pumping and wanted to use it after each session, but I don't have time to sit here and wait on it to dry for long at all.

Re: Coconut oil for thrush

  • Since it's oil, I don't think it even will dry.  Is LO being treated at the same time?  You need to both be treated or you will keep passing it back and forth.

Also, boil everything that touches your nipples or LO's mouth.  I washed my pads and tanks with bleach, tea tree oil, and GSE.  GL, thrush is so hard to get rid of!
