I'm going to put this out there. I'm not religious (I've tried so hard but I CAN'T) and DH is not religious. At the same time DH and I are determined to expose the kids to every religion and let them choose their path when they're old enough.
That being said my mother is offering to pay for 3yr old preschool at the Catholic school my sisters go to. It's Tuesday and Thursday 9-12.
Part of me says send her because: Child interaction.
Plain and simple. I want her to be able to spend time with kids her own age.
But DH and I have some reservations: Choking with religion. Yes this is an extremely religious school. I've been in the preschool room it is Jesus, God, and Mary everywhere, on every art project and every book. I understand its a Catholic preschool and so its not that shocking.
There's other things, mostly relating to the fact we plan to home school, but they're not such a big deal.
So should I suck it up, call it part of her exposure to religion and send her or do i just tell my mom thanks but no.
