We usually travel overnight. Baby sleeps most of it then. Any time we stop for either of us to go to the bathroom, we would take baby in to change and then feed him in the car.
We did an 11 1/2 hour drive when DD was 2 months. We spit in in two days. She slept most of the way...we just had to stop to change her and feed her. It was very easy, surprisingly.
We just did a 16 hour trip to Disney with baby. The way there was overnight and super easy. He eats about every 3 hours during the day time so we would stop and pull him out and let him have some time to stretch and did bicycle leg exercise
Granted ours was not an 8 hour trip (it was 5 hours), we left right before DS's nap time in the morning. I had breastmilk pumped and in bottles in the cooler in the back. I sat with him in the back seat and bottle fed him on the road and played with hi
