Hospital Bag

When should my hospital bag be packed by?

Things I would assume to pack are:

sports bras, panties, deodorant, brush, hair bands, toothpaste, toothbrush, camera, clothes to come home in, and maybe an extra pillow. (I will pack the same kinds of things for my hubby)

Any other suggestions for the FTM?

Thank you in advance for your help! :)

You really won't need panties. Even if you have a c-section you will still bleed and as awful as they sound, the hospital provided mesh panties are great for using with a pad and then throwing away. At our hospital, I wouldn't have needed the pillow ei

If you have a boppy, might be a good idea to pack that. I didn't last time and had DH bring it to the hospital the second day b/c of breast feeding. Plus, you can always use it while in labor waiting to deliver. Def going with me this time. Also suggest t

Few other things I found on a list on the internet were: blow dryer, sugar free candy to suck on to help keep mouth moist, snacks in case you are hungry after labor and it may be late with no food options available or coins for vending machine, nursi

If you're taking your own pillow, I'd suggest using a brightly colored pillow case so it doesn't get mixed in with the hospital's linens.

Also, I'm packing a swimsuit for DH so he can help me shower. I'm a csection mama, so having him helpin

I'm bringing something for my baby to wear when she gets her picture taken. There is a photographer in my hospital and we're setting up her 1st photos. Maybe a headband or a pretty blanket to swaddle her in.

I plan to start packing the bag at around 37 weeks.

Pack a couple onesies and then one pair of pants they normally work for a larger range cause you can roll the legs up. Worse case have a swaddling blanket and put that on baby when you are going home.

Mamas, don't overpack your bags! I did last time, and it was a waste of time. I researched the internet, packed all the change for the vending machine, diapers, sugar free candies to keep your mouth moist and so on, and then found out that I can't have an
