Dog is freaking out

Sooo the last 5 days my dog has been waking up in the middle of the night freaking out...4 or 5 times and wont calm down. Shaking, anxiety, won't sleep, and acts like this all day. Nothing is physically wrong with him. He normally sleeps inbetween my legs but now that I sleep with a body pillow and have a huge belly he has no where to lay or be comfortable. Do you think he knows that I'm pregnant and is just flipping out over it? Or am I crazy? Its sooo frustrating and annoying I literally can't get anything done, even watch tv without him climbing all over me being clingy, let alone sleep at night. I have no idea what to do anymore I started crying today because I am so frustrated!

Re: Dog is freaking out

  • I dont believe that animals know you're "pregnant" but rather you just smell different, and therefore think something is up. As far as him freaking out, is there a full moon coming up for you soon? some animals can be sensitive to that. Otherwise, I dont

  • Do you know for sure nothing is wrong? He could always be in some pain that isn't obvious. Ear infection or another type of infection. Has he gone to the vet? I'd start there. Goodluck!

  • I would cry too.  I really struggle when I can't tell what is wrong with our cats, but just know they aren't themselves.  It is frustrating, so go ahead and cry!  You are tired, worried, and frustrated!
