transvaginal ultrasound/HSG

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me if you have to have a full bladder or empty bladder for when you get a transvaginal ultrasound? also when you get an Hsg test done should your bladder be full for that? I'm getting my testing done at Shady Grove GBMC location anyone here gone there and had this testing done do you remember if you had to have a full bladder for both or not?

definitely empty. they made me go to the washroom before doing both.

Empty for the tests. I had to do a urine pregnancy test before the hsg tho.

I only needed a full bladder for IUI.

For my transvag they asked me to come in with a full bladder.  She scanned me, I emptied it, then returned for a second scan.

for the HSG I emptied my bladder right before.

I also emptied before both (I am at Shady Grove in PA). However, I did take a pg test before the ultrasound, for which the nurse ended up having to give me a bottle of water because I had nothing to empty.
