Pregnant after 35

Strange confession moment...

Does anyone else experience this?

My swelling has gone up exponentially in the past week-- before then, I wasn't really getting much swelling at all except for occasional instances in my fingers/hands/wrists (which I used to get pre-pregnancy).

The weirdest, however, has been when I sit-- usually during a trip to the bathroom is when it's worse-- and I get swelling of my vajayjay. Seriously. Like, painfully swollen. I feel like one of those women you see photos of online who've had botched plastic surgery on their lips (their mouths)...

Could I feel less sexy right now? I rather think not...

I haven't.  But strangely enough when I was shopping around online for maternity belly support belts the other day, I came across a support belt for the vajayjay area.  I think it was for varices.  So, I suppose it does happen!

I read somewhere that that's totally normal, if not a little disconcerting. Just a product of all the extra blood flow. Nothing to worry about, but I bet it feels weird. Wink

It's normal and for me it has come and gone throughout this process :)

Probably TMI, but after my husband and I were intimate yesterday, he said my pregnancy was making my, uh, lady parts look HUGE and he could take a picture for me if I wanted.  I politely declined.  But they do feel so much more puffy.

One word, puffy! It's adding to my discomfort and my inability to find one pair of comfortable underwear to wear. Just really started kicking in about 2 weeks ago. Totally disturbing..

Yeah, I'm not worried. But man oh man, is it very weird feeling. LOL And not comfortable.

And yes, MH did also mention that everything down there looked "huge and open." Thanks, Hun! Now I really want to let you see me naked! <img src="https://comm

I think Mother Nature knew exactly what she was doing when she made the bump get so big toward the end that you can't see your lady parts any more without a mirror. I'm trying very hard not to look.
