Hey all. B is EFF due to the lovely mastitis nightmare. We have used Similac Advance since breast feeding stopped and he does great on it. We just picked up the target brand of similac advance on Thursday to try it out and have been mixing formula 50 similac 50 target since to ease B into the switch. Well, he is sooooooo gassy now. Of course it's from the new formula, and I figured there may be a bit of adjustment time with his tummy to the new stuff. But, I'm wondering, if he is like this on just half target brand, what will he be like on a full bottle? Should we wait it out and see if he adjusts? Or should we just do Similac because it works for him and forget trying to switch?
I know it's more expensive but I'd stay on Similac for a little while longer. Maybe switch to the sensitive formula. P is on Similac Sensitive now and does great. In a few months ill switch to the Kirkland brand......
Re: WWYD: formula feeders/switching formula
This is exactly what we did 3 days of 2/3 1/3, 3 days half and half, and 3 days of 1/3 2/3 and it worked great for us
