Who has done international traveling? Is it something you'd do with kids? Is there a certain age you wouldn't attempt it before/after (sleepy infant stage might be easier than toddler etc.)?
We want to travel internationally at some point, specifically Europe though I'd love to explore more. For ourselves but we'd also like the kids to have memories. If we would go when they're younger (like 2014 in my post below) we'd want to take them with us. Then obviously they won't remember a thing and being on parent duty in a foreign country in addition to regular traveling woes. So then it feels like the other option is to go when they're old enough to remember and enjoy it (middle school? Lord help us if our kids hate history). Or to suck it up and leave them behind for 1.5 weeks, I wouldn't want to do that until this baby weans though, at the earliest.
Serious case of wonderlust right now. I've been to China and lived in Alaska, maybe I should think of something less extreme this time!
Incredibly hypothetical right now. I think what I'd really want to do is live there for a semester but I'm still not 100% sure on pulling the trigger on getting a PhD, right now at least.....
